About Three O’Clock

Three O’Clock is a serial web-novel updated on a weekly basis written by S. Gates (otherwise known as “dora”). It is something of a modern fantasy (with a possibly unhealthy dose of manga/anime influence) which touches on many themes that may be unsuitable for younger readers, such as sexuality, violence, drug use, and harsh language. It is recommended for readers ages 16 and up.

The story follows Yuri Kitazawa, a recent high-school graduate who, eight months ago, discovered that she was adopted. Under normal circumstances, life might go on as normal, but Yuri’s circumstances are, unfortunately, anything but. Soon she finds herself caught between the world we know and a strange new world she inherits from her mysterious father.

Three O’Clock updates on Sundays.

New readers are encouraged to start at the beginning. Everyone is more than encouraged to participate in discussion either in the chapters themselves or in the 3oclock_talk LiveJournal community.

About the Author

S. Gates, AKA dora, has been writing or drawing for a good portion of her life. In fact, Three O’Clock has been kicking around inside her head in one form or another for at least a decade, with some characters dating back even further (the first picture she drew of Kiih goes back to around 1997 or so). She also watches some anime, plays video games, and reads a decent amount of fantasy and science-fiction, all of which probably manifest somehow in the story.

Currently, dora is in transition. Other than the works she puts on the web, she doesn’t feel she’s terribly interesting.
